for $2.00 and St Stephen School Bracelets for $ 1.00…the sale of

Reminders May 14th

Good morning,
Here are a few reminders;

***BOGO Book Fair will be held until Thursday, May 17th…buy one
book, and get the second one of equal or lesser value for Free!!! This
is a great way to pick up books for Summer Reading

* Our last Rep meeting will be Tuesday, May 15, at 7:00pm. Coffee
will be provided. We will be finalizing plans for our Family Picnic
and completing our 2012-2013 calendar of events.

* There will be Peer tutoring on Wednesday, May 16th- notices go home today.

* End of the Year picnic orders are due by Wednesday, May 23rd (not
for Prek or Gr

*Thursday, May 17th we have Ascension Thursday Mass at 9am.

* Sports Banquet for Grade 5, 6, 7 & 8 order forms went home, please
fill out and return.

*Teacher gift letters went home today.

*Sports Dress Down Day – Friday, May 18th, the cost is $1.00 * For
the 4th grade students attending the TV Mass, they may dress down on
Monday, May 21st **

*If you have any Labels for Education, please send them to school by

Critter Caravan visited Mrs Lewis’s Grade 1 class.
We learned about differant animals, the climates and countries they lived in, what they ate. We were able to touch a snake, a cockroach, a turtle and more!
It was awesome!!!

A Note from Mrs. Testa~
Friday, April 27th, was a very busy day for us. First, we began with our Annual Pancake breakfast, which was delicious. Our compliments to the chefs! It was a great way to begin the day. Many thanks to Mrs. Ursula Pendziwater for organizing the event and for all of her hard work. We would also like to thank all of her assistants in the kitchen and those parents who helped serve.
Then we ended our day with our very first Father/Special Person Daughter Dance which began at 6:00 p.m. in our Church Hall. Two of our mother’s, Anna Bibok and Lauren Pollio, spent the day decorating the hall and preparing it for all of our dancers. They truly did an exceptional job and we are most grateful to them. The hall looked charming and beautiful! We would also like to thank Mrs. Delucia for helping to organize the dance and most importantly, for suggesting the event. All of our girls who attended from Pre K to Grade 6 looked absolutely beautiful. It was a pleasure to see them wearing such pretty dresses and to share in their excitement. Of course, the Dads and other special guests were also decked out in their finest as well.
We were also fortunate to have Mr. and Mrs. Foster who provided a photographer for formal pictures. And of course the evening would not have been complete without the music provided by our D.J. Jeff Crisco (Mrs. Feldman’s brother).
Due to our roof and water damage last Monday, we have had to replace the ceiling tiles and lighting fixtures in the small hallway by the nurse’s office. It is now open and the children have access to it. We are currently working on making repairs to the bathroom in the nurse’s office. The nurse, however, is back with us, since she can now use her office. We are in the process of negotiating with our insurance company over replacing floor tiles in that same hallway and in the Gym, since they were also damaged by the excess water.
Finally, I would like to thank all those who have already contributed to this year’s Annual Fund. During the April vacation, a ceiling fan was installed in the grade seven classroom upstairs. This is part of this year’s Annual Fund. Before putting in additional fans, we will see how this one works in providing extra ventilation.
