Dear Parents,
You and your child are invited to visit the classroom prior to the opening of school and to bring the required supplies. At this time, Mrs. Spilka will discuss her objectives for the coming year and answer any questions that you might have. Mrs. Cox, her aide, will also be present.
The orientation will begin promptly at 10:00AM on the date designated by your last name:
Last Names A – L : Wednesday, September 1st
Last Names M – Z : Thursday, September 2nd
Note that all necessary medical forms are due before your child can start school. Please call the school at 203-288-6792 if you are unable to attend.

Pre-K
General Information:
- All clothing should be fully labeled for easy identification – school uniforms (shorts, T-shirts, sweatpants, and sweatshirts), coats, jackets, and extra clothing. Please label all backpacks and lunchboxes also.
- When your child is absent call the school (288-6792).
- At the beginning of the year and during the course of the year, any forms that are sent home (insurance, medical, permission slips, etc.) should be filled out and promptly returned to school in their take home folder.
Classroom Supplies:
- 1 clear plastic shoebox size container with lid
- 2 boxes of fat crayons
- 1 box of small crayons (8, 16, or 24)
- 2 folders
- 5 glue sticks – disappearing purple
- 1 pair of scissors
- 1 pkg of Dixie cups
- 1 bottle hand sanitizer
- 1 lunchbox to hold snacks, lunch and drinks
- 2 bottles of Elmer’s glue
- 1 watercolor paint set
- colored pencils
- 1 can of Lysol Disinfectant
- 1 small nap blanket (name/label) to be left at school
- 1 complete change of clothes including socks (does not need to be another uniform). Please include a large Ziploc bag marked with your child’s name.
These supplies will need to be replenished as needed.
